As usual, when I go on vacation, I tend to dine at at least one Chick-Fil-A location. When in Denver, our Air BNB was a few blocks from a very modern Chick-Fil-A. I decided to walk the few blocks around noon on a Friday just to check it out and get a #1 with sweet tea. Make it large!
When I arrived at this location, I was shocked to see no line and only a few people in the dining area during the lunch out. I thought to myself, “maybe Denver hasn’t figured out how good Chick-Fil-A is.” Boy, was I wrong. More on that in a bit.
The cashier did a great job of upselling me on making the meal large. You don’t have to ask twice! I was a little worried about the sweet tea because Denver is not exactly the southeast. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was the sweet tea very good, it was great.
The one “beef” I have with this location is the inside dining room is very small. There are four tables that are for families and one long table that has about six seats on each side. There were six smaller, high tables that seated two but they were right behind the line.
I decided to sit at one of the smaller, high tables for two. As soon as I got my food the floodgates opened and dozens of people came in and stood in line. It was very awkward to be eating my food right next to people standing in line.
This location is right across from the National Jewish Health Center and some other hospitals so I would imagine this rush was from those employers. For a solid 20 minutes the line was consistent. Per Chick-Fil-A’s standards, the line went very quickly.
The actual location is 3725 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80206 and this location is known as Colfax & Garfield.

Efficiency (5/5) – I walked right up to the counter, my order was taken and I received my food at my table in under two minutes. I also happened to get to the location right before the lunch rush.
Taste (5/5) – As previously mentioned, I was surprised to find the sweet tea was just as good, if not better, than the sweet tea in my home state of North Carolina. The fries were hot and fresh and the chicken sandwich was up to standard.
Friendliness (5/5) – There were two different employees that said “my pleasure”. Getting a refill on my large sweet tea was very easy with the employee being quite friendly.
Location/Accessibility (5/5) – There should be an asterisk beside this as this location had a double drive thru behind the actual dining area. The double drive thru was one of the old school ones in which there was an “island” for the second drive thru. I still don’t know how they get the food out to the island. This has confused me for almost two decades now. As I was leaving, I noticed there were well over 10 cars in each drive thru lane in the back and it looked to be very congested. As far as the location to Colfax Avenue, it is perfect; especially for walkers.
