Tampa International Airport Location

If you fly into Tampa and you need to burn some time after a flight, I strongly suggest going to Chick-Fil-A. Tampa International Airport claims to have a “food court” but it is really only a Chick-Fil-A, Qdoba and Wendy’s. The obvious choice is Chick-Fil-A.

We flew into Tampa on Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 and had a few hours to waste until we could check into our Air BNB. We decided to get some food at the airport before grabbing an Uber.

Efficiency (5/5) – Compared to Wendy’s and Qboda, Chick-Fil-A was the most efficient fast food restaurant. By the time I paid for my #1 with a sweet tea, the employee was handing me my food.

Taste (5/5) – I was pleasantly surprised with the overall taste of an airport Chick-Fil-A. I prefer going to freestanding locations rather than airport and mall locations, but this was one of the best tasting Chick-Fil-A’s I have ever been to. In fact, the sweet tea was phenomenal.

Friendliness (1/5) – Shockingly, the employee that helped me with my order was not friendly at all. In fact, she didn’t make any eye contact or offer a “my pleasure”. When I went back to get the refill on my sweet tea, she acted as if she didn’t even want to help me. This type of friendliness is never expected at Chick-Fil-A. Even at airport locations.

Location/Accessibility (5/5) – There is no better location when it comes to someone traveling via the Tampa International Airport. In fact, I will remember this location for future trips to Tampa. There is no reason to eat at RDU if I can get Chick-Fil-A when I land in Tampa. Obviously, there is not a drive thru. The line to order at this location is very well structured.
